We are now looking to recruit a Senior M&E Surveyor within our London M&E team. Experience of working within the Commercial and Investment Banking sectors specialising in Trading Floors, Infrastructure Upgrades and Data Centres is essential.
Responsibility

The Senior Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of both Pre-Contract and Post-Contract work, ensuring the M&E Surveying function is delivered to the highest level of service.

We are now looking to recruit a Senior Surveyor for our commercial team. On a daily basis, the Senior Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of the Surveying function to ensure the highest level of service is provided to the project / team




Responsibility

Project/Technical:
• Take responsibility for the full cost management of projects from inception to completion.
• Ensure contracts are administered correctly, reducing risks for both Northcroft and the client, including QM procedures.
• Regularly liaise and build relationships with colleagues ensuring consistency of service delivery.
• Regularly update senior management on the progress of projects and provide high quality information to assist the business in decision-making.
• Must be comfortable taking a brief from clients, acting upon it and producing best practice solutions for the clients.
• Gain and maintain confidence of the client and become the focal point for communication.
• Actively pursue and encourage others to recognize potential business leads.
• Run project independently.
• Perform all RICS QM competencies to high technical standard.
• Take responsibility for managing projects up to a value of £30m in construction value.
• Manage Northcroft own fee for project and resource. Inform Director of any potential claim for additional fees.

Business Development:
• Contribute to bids and proposals.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of clients, competitors, client care policy.
• Attend networking events.
• To seek out potential business development opportunities or leads and either follow through or inform senior management.
• Participate in SIG Groups as required.


Supervisory Tasks:
• To mentor and support both trainees and graduates in their professional development at Northcroft.
• Undertake supervisor role as required for RICS/APC training.
• Ensures personnel and staff comply with all procedures
Skills

Ideally Chartered with a demonstrable track record of commercially managing office fit out projects in London, the candidate will need to be Client facing, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills.

A vacancy has now arisen for a Graduate level recruit within our Oxford office to join our expanding team.
Responsibility

The successful candidate will conduct a varied function supporting a friendly but busy office and team. Responsible for carrying out Pre / Post-Contract work in addition to other generic tasks, they will gain development and exposure to a variety of projects and competencies.
Skills

Excellent interpersonal, communication and I.T skills are essential.

Must be qualified to Degree level, and aspire to achieve APC chartered status.

Industry / Surveying related experience will be an advantage for this role (obtained ideally within a post-graduate capacity or as part of a gap-year or part-time study arrangement).
