Beijing 2008 Olympic Stadium, Beijing

This project involves the construction of the main Olympic Stadium for the Beijing Olympics 2008.

The stunning design, based on the concept of a “birds nest”, is created from massive steel box columns and beams wrapping around the stadium facilities.

The scheme, due for completion at the end of 2007, includes a closing roof structure, extensive athlete and VIP facilities, health & fitness centre, restaurants, offices and underground parking.

Northcroft were appointed Risk Managers for the bid evaluation process.
